Back to When we met

I still remember Kayla and I's first date like it was yesterday. We had both mentioned our love for coffee prior, so our little date was guaranteed to be a hit. However, spending 5 hours learning about each other over a single cup each was a bit of surprise. Once we finally parted ways, I couldn't help but grin like an idiot the whole time I struggled to get my order in at the Taco Bell drive through. It wasn't long after I had made it back to the apartment that Kayla was asking that I come back out so that we could continue the date (crazy right?). Neither of us had had enough at that point, so we spent the next 3 hours of our night continuing our conversations from earlier through the shelves a bookstore, followed by some ice cream. Years later, those remain 3 of our favorite things. And every time I open a new book or smell the coffee brewing in the morning, for a brief moment I find myself walking back through the front doors of that coffee shop.
